Junior Coaches & Leaders

Just for 13- to 17-year-olds, Hampton's next-generation development program is fun and inclusive. Youth can earn a Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) or Bronze Medallion (BM), depending upon their age, participate with water safety and patrols, get involved with managing and running the kiosk, or just hang out with friends.

Teens and youth are encouraged to get involved:

• Patrol members

• Water safety during Nippers or competition practice

• Assistant age group managers and junior coaches

• Lifesaving skills development

• Senior sport competition

• Starfish Nippers mentors

• IRB training and competition

• Leadership development

• Kiosk management and staffing

• Food handling certification

What's more, our youth members are invited to get involved in leadership roles through Life Saving Victoria, joining HLSC committees, taking the keys to our social and online channels, and more. To get involved, pop an email or just raise your hand at the beach!
